Rinehardt faces allegations of 457 visa worker abuses on iron ore site

Refugee Status ‘No Ticket to First World’: Morrison

Immigration Minister Scott Morrison has warned that the right to resettlement is “not a ticket to a better life in a first world country”

Speaking on the 2GB Ray Hadley Program on Monday, Mr Morrison said he had been in Cambodia and had been furthering regional discussions to find places where people may be resettled in the region.

CHILD ABDUCTION ALERT: UPDATE 1, Missing three-year-old girl, Childers

childThe Queensland Police Service are still seeking urgent public assistance to help locate three-year-old, Chloe Campbell who was reported missing from a residence on Ridgeway Street sometime before 7am.

Chloe is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with fair shoulder-length hair and around 100cm tall.

She is wearing orange shorts and a yellow-coloured shirt with butterflies and bees pictured on the front.

Chloe could also be carrying a blue soft toy and a grey blanket.

Ring 131 564 to provide any other information

Ring 000 to provide life threatening information about this incident.

The nannies would be entitled to Sundays off and a return airfare home for two weeks each year.

The cost of childcare has been a political bugbear for more than a decade. But a submission to a government inquiry into childcare has found a novel solution: low-cost nannies from Asia.

The Indonesia Institute, a Perth-based think tank, says carers from countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines should be allowed to come to Australia and mind children for $200 a week to help ease pressure on family budgets. (more…)
